Call-In Voicemail Guidelines

1) Keep it to one theme.
Pick a single topic so we can understand your point fast.

2) Tell us what type this is at the start.
Begin your message with either “Quick question” or “Call-in pitch.”
Quick question: a stand-alone question you want us to answer on the show.
Call-in pitch: a brief setup where you would join us for a longer segment.

3) Time limit: 3 minutes. (The voicemail will shutoff after 3 minutes)
Short and focused messages are most likely to be used.

4) Leave contact info.
Say the best way to reach you to schedule a call if we invite you on: email, phone, or social handle. Include your name and best times to reach you.

5) Give the essentials up front.
Who you are, where you are (optional), your topic in one sentence, and your question or pitch.

6) Audio tips (optional, but helpful).
Record in a quiet place, speak close to your phone, avoid speakerphone and driving noise.

7) Heads-up.
We may not be able to respond to everyone. By leaving a voicemail, you give us permission to play or quote your message on the show and our platforms. We will reach out if we want to bring you on for a longer segment.
